Since the Clean Water Act was passed in 1972, it has been responsible for significant improvements in the quality of our lakes and rivers. Unfortunately, America is still a long way from achieving the goal of cleaning up all of our national waterways.

Fresh Water Protections Committee
The Fresh Water Protections Committee is working to protect sources of drinking water from pollution, defending federal and state clean water protections from attack, and addressing the largest sources of water pollution: sewage and storm water runoff.
