After years of debate, a near consensus among the world''s scientists has concluded that we are warming the planet. We can make simple decisions now on national, state, local, and personal levels that will reduce global warming pollution. The Georgia Sierra Club''s network of activists and volunteers are dedicated to cleaning up our vehicles, buildings, and electricity grid to drastically cut carbon emissions and curb global warming.

Clean Air
In his 2003 State of the Union address, President Bush touted a plan that mandates a 70 percent cut in air pollution from power plants over the next 15 years. But why did that Administration brag about a plan that would actually result in more pollution than if we simply enforced the existing Clean Air Act? Who stands to benefit from placing communities at risk, particularly children and the elderly who are significantly threatened by air pollution?
