- [volunteer] Giftwrappers at REI
It's gift-wrapping time again for Atlanta Inner City Outings. We will be wrapping gifts for donations starting December 11 at the Atlanta and Perimeter REI stores. If you can help, please contact us! Click here for shifts and contact info
- [volunteer] Executive Committee members
The Chapter Nominating Committee is seeking candidates for Executive Committee (ExCom). The Chapter ExCom has oversight responsibility for the Georgia Chapter of the Sierra Club to ensure it is carrying out our mission productively. If you know of someone you think would be a good ExCom member, or you are interested in serving yourself, contact any member of the Nominating Committee with the suggestion. Or, preferably, complete the following brief questionnaire and either e-mail it to nancywylie@mindspring, or mail to Nancy Wylie, Chair, 4245 Rickenbacker Way, Atlanta, GA 30342 so it is received not later than June 15, 2009.
- [volunteer] Chapter Treasurer
The Georgia Chapter of the Sierra Club is looking for a volunteer treasurer to manage our budget and financial statements. If you want to help the environment and have financial skills we need you! CPA experience and knowledge of QuickBooks preferred but not required. Time commitment of 5 – 7 hours a month desired. - [volunteer] Fundraising Committee
Are you interested in being involved with the Sierra Club's most important committee? If you want to help protect the environment, the biggest impact you can have is by helping the Sierra Club raise funds for our programs and organizations. This is an opportunity to work with great volunteers and staff, get a peek behind the nonprofit curtain, and have fun volunteering your time. We work on projects involving sponsorships, direct mail appeals, host committees, event planning, grant writing, and more. We meet in the Midtown Atlanta area on the 4th Monday of each month at 7pm. The Smart Energy Solutions Committee is looking for leaders to get involved in the Coal Campaign. Concerned about global warming? Clean air and energy? Or a sustainable future for Georgia. We're looking for passionate, dedicated leaders to participate on the committee and help facilitation the actions of the Coal Campaign, to help keep coal out

We are looking for a few good people to help work on outreach events like film screenings, picnics, new member events, newsletter articles, and a data gathering project. This committee also helps mobilize activists and builds Sierra&nbp;Club membership to protect the environment.
